Parko has the worst fin chop i've ever seen

in

After hearing about Parkos foot injury earlier in the week, i was bummed to hear that Parko was out due to another mid year foot injury and also bummed that i cant watch him flair at J-bay this week in the WCT event.

On a perfect Winters day at Snapper Rocks parko went down on a Super dredgy sand grinder behind the back rocks, and must have got tangled up in his board in the process, coming up to find his foot had been sliced straight throught the muscle, in one of the most gruesome fin slices ive ever seen..

No Gigantic swell, But Noosa still Delivers!

in

Well it turns out that the swell of the century in QLD was once again a talked up hoax, with some swell forecasting sites calling 20 feet at 14 seconds, it had half of Queensland dusting the cobwebs of the rhino chasers and waxing up for the sessions of a lifetime.

Clint Kimmins Crys wolf about shark attack.. Who cares?

on Friday When Kimmins rocked up at pumping Burleigh at 7am to find the line up littered with a million people, he decided to post on his facebook before paddling out that he just saw someone get his leg ripped off by a bull shark at Burleigh cove. By the afternoon 71 people had commented on it, some people totally wigging out. His next post was "just caught a humpback whale on a hand reel" to see how Gullible people would be this time.

Cyclone Ului About to turn Queensland Waves Upside down

in

Im no Weather forecaster by any means but i do check the swell maps for Sunshine Coast/Gold Coast area about once a week to see whats going to happen with the waves.. This week i knew there was going to be quite a large swell due to the cyclone Ului off the Great Barrier Reef, but i definitely didn't expect to see it as big as its showing.. Its probably the biggest swell i've ever seen for this area on the maps, so i cant wait to see if it delivers.

Well done Taj Burrow taking out the Breaka Burleigh Pro on sunday in shoulder height, fun rights on Sunday arvy at the famed point, I'm sure the beer flowed and the cas got a going over Sunday night!

TWS's own Leigh Sedley was in the contest, as well as most of the crew, Micheal Spencer, Luke Cheadle, Mitch Coleborn, the usual suspects, and the only good thing to come of the boys not doing well, was the fact that the stars aligned for a heap of fun Saturday night, A big part of why i wasn't at the final Sunday and opted to watch it from the comfort of Baz's Air con unit in Cooly!
