Adriano DeSouza takes his first win in a WCT event taking out Davo in the final

Adriano DeSouza took out Chris "Davo" Davidson to claim his maiden WCT victory in Mundaka Spain, Leaving him in 4th place overall on the ratings with two events remaining.. Held in pretty average conditions the final consisted of 24 heats in a marathon day of competition, after the event was held off for seven days straight due to lack of quality waves. It's normally the case though for the Mundaka Event. This was also Davo's first appearance in a final of a WCT and has boosted him into 20th position, well inside the qualification cutoff for 2010

Fanning takes over Parkos lead in world title race

After a third 17th placing in a row for Joel Parkinson, Mick fanning has moved 44 points ahead of Parko on the ratings. Tour rookie Drew Courtney cause the upset this morning, right before Fanning took out South African Davey Weare to move into the third round. Joel started the year off with 3 1st placings and a 3rd giving him a substantial lead over his peers, but since the hurley pro at trestles parko hasnt made it past the 17th round leaving his close mate and fellow rival Fanning to take out the last two events and being right on his tail.

Ive been in Brazil two weeks now, and seen some really creative graffiti. These are photos from a random wall Goodall and I walked past, luckly he had his camera handy.. Walls like these are very common in Brazil.

Random questions with Michael Spencer

Michael Spencer is 23 years old and hails from the central coast of NSW, A few years on the WQS and Michael decided qualifying wasn’t for him, so he hung up the contest jersey and got stuck into his free surfing. He has a big repertoire of airs and fin throws.. And recently had a couple of sick shots run in the larger USA Surfing magazines. He’s right into his music, and photography, and loves an honest beer with the boys! Us guys at Tradewindsurf.com reckon he’s a good bloke so we thought we would heckle him with a few random questions!
