Downtime at the U.S Open Huntington Beach

Check out the view from this beachside bungalow in Huntington beach, absolutely bloody priceless! I've been close to the beach before but sleeping any closer and you would drown! This pad's roof from memory was the mount for surfline.com's webcam of Huntington beach. On this day imparticular, about 2 k up the beach the crowd was roaring as Brett Simpson smashed and bashed his way to the biggest prize purse in surfing history for the second year in a row bagging a hundred grand for his efforts! Nice Work mate!

The other little shot is a snap of the top end of the strip at HB, I can't remember taking it but it's either the calm before the storm, or i'm pushing my luck after everyone has gone home, either way this place pumps most night's in summer, was good to have some down time in Huntington Beach, as we had a big few days coming up at the tradeshow in San Diego on the way!
