With all the amazing breaks Queensland has to offer, why has it taken so long to have more than one pro event on home turf? Well not anymore.. Starting next week Breaka Milk will host a 4 star World Qualifying Series event (WQS) event at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, and with US$85,000 Up for grabs, the event has attracted some of the biggest names in surfing, including current world champ Mick Fanning and previous world champs Andy Irons and Occy.

This is the first major pro event to be held at Burleigh in 10 years and is set to be a Cracker. I surfed Burleigh this week during a nice little east swell and the bank was the best ive seen it in a really long time! so hopefully the stars align and Huey delivers the perfect corduroy lines that the point is famous for.

Here is my mate Jay "bottle"/"chin" Thompson doing the Breaka ad check it out.
